Welcome to the Crumlin & Walkinstown History Group website. This website will house research information, projects and details about Crumlin, Walkinstown and the local environment. The group’s main aims are to encourage research, preserve and protect local heritage, facilitate the exchange of information in local community and to co-operate with other groups, bodies and associations, statutory or otherwise, involved in protecting, preserving and developing local history, heritage and culture.
Anyone can help, research or join the group or committee. Monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of every month in Walkinstown Library 6.30pm – 8pm.
Ongoing Projects
We are researching a large range of subjects that all into local historic projects that we run in the community. We are always looking for new ideas and help, so if this is for you, please get in touch.
Previous Work
We have completed a number of projects including a Crumlin Heritage Audit and report, A walking trail, an exhibition on a local historian’s work and guided tours. You can find out more about these projects and download reports and documents here.
