Innismore House (Antwerp Cottage)

“There was a boarding school in the village. This, as far as I can ascertain, was situated at ‘Candons’. A lane fronted the house which stood at right angles to the village road. Look and see. There was probably a high wall surrounding the school grounds, after the fashion of the day. This schoolhouse was later known as ‘Antwerp Cottage’ – Frank Oman, ‘Robert Emmet in Crumlin’ in ‘Chat’, Jun. 1971, probably referring to the late 18th century.
