Parochial Hall (St. Mary's School House) (Parish Hall)

During the 19th century this was built, possibly as a Parochial Hall or possibly as a substitute for the Parochial School on the other side of the road. It was extended in 1937 and came under the Department of Education. After the new school was built in the 1950s it reverted to use as a parochial hall.

Owner / Occupier Information:

In the 1930s the school was run by Effie Williamson (later Mrs. Dickens) assisted by her sister Maisie Dalton. In 1937 Mrs. Jenie Crighton was appointed Principal.
