DUBLIN CORPORATION COUNTY BOROUGH OF DUBLIN SPECIAL CONTROL AREA (CRUMLIN AREA A) ORDER 1989 AIR POLLUTION ACT, 1987
The Right Honourable The Lord Mayor, Aldermen and Burgesses of Dublin (hereinafter referred to as “the Corporation”) in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by Section 39 of the Air Pollution Act, 1987 have made an Order entitled as above which will be submitted for confirmation to the Minister for the Environment. The order applies to the following area:
Commencing at the intersection of the centre line of the Grand Canal and the centre line of Benbulbin Road produced northwards, the boundary to Crumlin Area ‘A ‘runs in an easterly direction along the centre line of the Grand Canal to a point at Parnell Bridge intersected by the centre line of Clogher road produced northwards. At this point the boundary turns and runs in a southerly, then southwesterly direction along the centre lines of Clogher Road and Kildare Road. The boundary then runs in a westerly direction along the centre line of Kildare Road to the point where it intersects the centre line of Windmill Road. From this point the boundary runs in a northerly direction along the centre line of Windmill Road to the point where it intersects the centre line of Crumlin Road. The boundary then runs in a southwesterly direction along the centre line of Crumlin Road to the point where it intersects the centre line of Rafters Lane produced in a southerly direction. From this point the boundary runs in a northerly direction along the centre line of Rafters Lane and continues in this line and direction to the point where it intersects the southern boundary of the plot of ground between premises number 1, Rafters Lane and premises number 8, Iveagh Gardens. The boundary then runs in an easterly direction along the southern boundary of the aforementioned plot of ground to the point where it joins the western boundary of premises number 8, Iveagh Gardens and runs coincident with the aforementioned western boundary firstly in an easterly direction and then in a northerly direction. The boundary continues in this northerly direction coincident with the western boundaries of number 8, Iveagh Gardens, numbers 90 to 98 (inclusive) Iveagh Gardens and the eastern boundaries of numbers 19 to 47 (odd numbers only) inclusive, Lissadel Avenue, to the point where it coincides with the intersection of the southern and western boundaries of premises number 37, Knocknarea Avenue. From this point it runs in an easterly direction along the southern boundaries of premises numbers 37 to 67 (odd numbers only), inclusive, Knocknarea Avenue and thence in a northerly direction along the eastern boundary of premises number 67, Knocknarea A venue and continues in this direction to the point where it intersects the centre line of Knocknarea Avenue. The boundary then runs in a southwesterly direction along the centre line of Knocknarea Avenue to the point where it intersects the centre line of Benbulbin Road produced southwards. From this point the boundary runs in a _northerly direction along the centre line of Benbulbin Road and continues in this line and direction to the point of commencement as more _particulars shown on Map Index No. 11151/8.
In accordance with Section 41, Air Pollution Act, 1987, Notice is hereby given of the making of the said Order, a copy of which, together with a copy of Map Index No. 11151 /8 may be inspected at the City Hall during normal office hours fora period of not less than one month from the date of this notice. The Order will not come into operation until it has been confirmed by the Minister for the Environment.
Anyone wishing to object to the Order should do so in writing to the under-mentioned before 5 p.m. on 11th December, 1989.
If objections are duly made and are not withdrawn, the Minister, before confirming or refusing to confirm the Order, will cause an oral hearing person who has, within the period specified in the notice afforded an opportunity of being heard.
