Tombstone Cutter’s story when charged with loitering
Laurence O’ Brien and Christopher Devlin were at the Dublin District Police Court yesterday remanded until Monday on a charge of loitering at Crumlin Road between midnight and 1 o’ clock yesterday morning.
It was stated that O’ Brian said they were going to look for mushrooms and Devlin said he was a tombstone cutter and could not sleep at night thinking of all the dead people he put headstones over, and that he hoped he would put a heavy one over the sergeant so he could not rise.
